Good Tidings For All(even us)!!

Well hello everyone! Merry Christmas, Blessed Yule, Happy Hanukkah, and all other December holidays and such! We have some fantastic news... Well, actually, let me begin with the [previous] stress.

So Mr.M graduated at the very top of his class at Sage CDL school(I'm so proud!!), and got all kinds of certificates saying he's wonderful(I knew that), and now has his CDL with doubles, triples, hazmat and airbrakes endorsements. The only endorsement he didn't get was the one to have passengers, because he didn't want it. No bus driving for him! It really doesn't pay very well, after all, compared to all the other truck driving jobs. So anyway, he graduated about a month ago, and we figured he'd be in a job within a week. Hah! Not so. For one annoying reason or another, for the most part lack of experience(can't get a job without experience, can't get experience without a job, etc.), he was unable to land anything right off the bat. He also applied for NPT, the local company that he really wanted to work for, and he was hired... BUT... there were no immediate job openings. Great for confidence, bad for checkbook. We thought he'd be able to get in right away on the dock, even though there were no driving openings right away, but then, alas, it was not to be. So on we go, stress building, applying for more and more jobs that wanted experience, or some such obstacle. And then... HURRAH!!! NPT called back, and asked if he was still interested in working on the dock until a driving job opened up!! Well, he was, and we're now officially a 2-income household again! Actually, almost 3-income, since he's making almost twice as much as I am, even with just the dock job. And as soon as he can get in a truck, he'll be getting an automatic raise of about $1.80/hour. Yaaaaaay!! So although we're going to be having frozen pizza and [frozen] chocolate silk pie for Christmas dinner, things are so totally looking up!! It's just so nice to be able to laugh, and enjoy ourselves, without it seeming, well, a bit forced. I swear, both of us spent the entire day[that he got the call]just grinning like idiots! Well, I guess that's not really too far a stretch for us, huh...
