We don't need no stinking video card!

Well yes, apparently, we do. Mr.M got the new Star Wars PC game, Empire at War, at Best Buy on Saturday. The best part about that for me is the free T-shirt. I like free stuff, and it's a cool T-shirt. So hurrah for me! Ok, right, back to the video game. It's this huge complicated game, kind of like Starcraft, or Warcraft, stuff like that. He was super-excited to get it, and while at the store looking at the game requirements, he wanted to make sure that we would be able to run it well enough on our computer; and so here enters Luke, an extremely nice and knowledgeable gentleman on the Geek Squad at Bust Buy. We all have a lovely chat for about 20 minutes, most of which sounded an awful lot like Cantonese to me, but he was awful nice and seemed to help out Mr.M a bunch. As it turns out, we needed a much better video card, leading us to purchase a decent one for $100. So now Mr.M is deliriously happy with his fantastic, incredibly complicated, and confusing[to me] PC game.

I, on the other hand, am deliriously happy with the video game that I got for myself while Mr.M was noodling on about technical stuff with Luke. I got The Nightmare Before Christmas, Oogie's Revenge!!! Hurrah!!! I've been wanting it since well before it came out, and it was soooo much fun to play!! I got to follow Zero around an old graveyard looking for the hanging men that ran away from the hanging tree, and bring them back to the tree(who was very nice, incidentally. The tree, I mean.). I also get to stab people and slap them around with the "soul robber", a nifty little green glowing device that Jack wears around his wrist. It's really cool.

So now our PC has killer video and some more memory, and Mr.M will disappear for hours on end, and I have another Nightmare item to add to my collection, and one that I can play with to boot. Life is good. ;-)
